REAL FEATHER ANTIQUE PARROT POSTCARDS

Only a very limited number of these exquisite works of art have ever been available to collectors. Painstakingly hand-crafted in Germany, Circa 1920's, each is an actual postal card. On one side appears the spaces for messages and address, and postage stamp.. On the other side, set against richly colored hand painted backgrounds, is the full length figure of a parrot perched on a tree limb. Actual parrot feathers in a rainbow of esquisite colors were used to create the figures, carefully assembled to create not only natural coloration, but breath-takingly lifelike shape and form.

From the time of their manufacture, approximately 80 years ago, these cards have been treasured by parrot lovers and collectors alike. Only a small quantity has ever reached the U.S., and even in their native country of Germany, they were nearly impossible to find.

The specimens we now offer are in the finest possible condition, never having been addressed or sent through the mail, and retaining all the feathers exactly as created by the artisans, as fresh and bright as they were nearly a century ago.
